Plan your running route

Whether you are preparing a trail, a city run or a cycling route, visualizing your route on a map is essential to estimate distance and elevation. Our route tracer lets you draw your route in a few clicks, with automatic calculation of mileage, elevation gain and loss.

The "Road / trail" mode automatically follows existing paths using the OSRM routing engine. The "Straight line" mode connects your points directly — useful for off-trail or mountain routes. The elevation profile is retrieved from open-source elevation data.

GPX export for your watch

Once your route is traced, export it as a GPX file. You can then load it onto your GPS watch (Garmin, Suunto, Coros, Polar...) or import it into Strava, Komoot or any other compatible tool. The file includes GPS coordinates and elevation data.

Frequently asked questions

How to trace a route?

Simply click on the map to add waypoints. The route is automatically calculated between each point following roads and trails. You can undo the last point or clear everything at any time.

How to import a GPX file?

Click "Import GPX" and select your file. The route will be displayed on the map with its distance and elevation. You can then modify it by adding points.

Is the elevation data accurate?

The elevation profile uses open-source elevation data (SRTM / Open-Elevation). Accuracy is approximately 10 to 30 meters depending on the area. For maximum accuracy, record your route with a GPS watch equipped with a barometric altimeter.
